Runway ML, a video AI startup backed by Google and Nvidia, has announced a partnership with Getty Images to develop a new generative AI video model called Runway <> Getty Images Model (RGM). This collaboration will allow companies to build their own custom models for video content generation using Runway’s enterprise platform. The aim is to enhance creative capabilities and provide new channels for video creation in various industries such as Hollywood studios, advertising, media, and broadcasting. The RGM will be available for commercial use in the coming months. Runway has recently made significant upgrades to its video-generating AI software app, Gen-2, including a motion brush and new camera motions to add cinematic effects to static images. Despite competition from other startups like Pika, Runway is emerging as a leader in generative video AI. The partnership with Getty Images will further push the boundaries of AI and video generation, making it easier for enterprises to produce professional and engaging brand-aligned content.
