Microsoft has introduced an AI assistant called Microsoft 365 Copilot that can take meetings on behalf of users. This AI assistant is similar to ChatGPT and can summarize Teams meetings if the user is unable to attend. However, it is important to note that users will not be able to actively participate in these meetings or build relationships with their peers. In addition to meeting summaries, Copilot can also summarize email threads, suggest action items, draft emails, create documents, and make PowerPoint presentations. The tool will be available starting from November 1 and will be integrated into Microsoft 365 apps for an extra cost of $30 per user per month. Satya Nadella, the Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, believes that Copilot will revolutionize the way people work and enhance productivity. He stated that Copilot will provide users with more control and make technology more accessible through natural language. This development signifies a shift towards AI taking on more tasks traditionally done by humans.
